Open Water Diver
Become a certified diver! Learn essential skills to dive safely to 18 metres with a buddy and explore stunning underwater worlds full of vibrant marine life.
Our PADI Open Water entry-level course is the world's most popular and most recognised dive certification. Amed Bali is the perfect place to learn to dive, with plenty of calm, clear coral reefs teeming with aquatic life. We teach small group sizes to ensure plenty of personal attention from our exceptional team of professional instructors. The course takes about 3 days, after which you are certified for life to dive to 18 m. No diving experience is required to take the course. The course includes a pool session where you practice essential skills and become familiar with the dive gear, two academic sessions to cover the practical theory of diving, and four open water dives at a variety of our dive sites. Wondering what you will see during your dives? You will be able to see stingrays, barracudas, giant groupers, eels, turtles, butterfly and angel fish, and much more.
PADI ReActivate (Refresher)
Perfect for divers who haven't dived for a while. Refresh your skills, regain confidence, and get back to exploring stunning underwater worlds full of vibrant marine life.
Although a dive certification is valid for life, if it has been a while since your last dive, it's a good idea to refresh your skills with a dive instructor before joining fun dives or taking your course. During your scuba review, our instructors will help you get reacquainted with the underwater world. You will start on the surface, as your instructor reminds you of some essential dive theory and shows you how to set up your equipment, if you're feeling out of practice. Once in the water, your instructor will help you repeat some of the fundamental skills and exercises both on the surface and underwater. Once the skills are complete and you are feeling confident, the rest of the dive is spent exploring the underwater world.
Advanced Open Water
Take your diving skills to the next level with 5 exciting adventure dives. Explore new environments and dive deeper while mastering techniques to boost your confidence underwater. With the Advanced certification you can dive to 30 metres.
Already a certified diver? If you want to increase your skills and have fun while you do it, join us for the Advanced Open Water course. We recommend this course for all divers, whether you're fresh out of your PADI Open Water certification or if you've got some fun dives under your belt. When you're ready to take this course, Amed is the ideal location, as our variety of dive sites give you the opportunity to advance your skills as you explore the underwater world at the best dive sites in Amed, Bali. The course takes 2–3 days and 5 dives: you'll get certified to dive to 30 m, learn underwater navigation, and experience your choice of three additional adventure dives.
PADI Divemaster
Take your diving to a professional level and work closely with instructors to develop leadership skills, dive knowledge, expertise, and confidence in challenging environments.
The Divemaster Program is your first step into the professional diving world. If you feel like becoming a leader or a mentor and a respected PADI Professional, you are on the right path. Becoming a Divemaster allows you to work as a Dive Guide around the world. You will have the opportunity to earn a living doing something you love and that others only dream about: leading new and experienced divers and sharing your passion. It’s time to do something different, challenge yourself, and take what may be a life-changing step. You will work closely with our instructors. They will teach and help you to improve your dive theory knowledge and in-water skills. The big benefit of taking the Divemaster course in Bali is that you can experience a range of diving conditions. You’ll develop better buoyancy, better movement in the water, you’ll dive with greater confidence and learn more about the different types of diving equipment. You will refine your rescue skills to better anticipate and easily solve problems in the ocean. You’ll learn how to read currents and understand the tides. You will also improve your own diving knowledge: about currents, about equipment, about the human body and how diving affects it, about depth and pressure and the air we breathe. You’ll learn about our beautiful oceans. How precious and fragile they are and how to protect them. You will learn how to give effective, professional dive briefings. At the end of the course you will be able to guide and supervise certified divers, supervise training activities, conduct scuba reviews and skin diver courses, assist in Discover Scuba Diver programs and be a role model to divers.

Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. The different topics include: Self rescue, recognising and managing panic, fear and stress in other divers and ultimately being equipped to prevent emergency situations and provide emergency care if necessary. During the course you will learn many new skills: how to assist a tired diver at the surface and underwater, a panicked diver at the surface and underwater. You will practise search patterns underwater with the aid of a compass to help you locate a missing buddy. You will learn how to surface, assess and transport an unresponsive diver with appropriate recovery for restoring breathing. A black-sand slope in front of Amed village and one of the area’s best muck dives. Slow down and look closely: frogfish, seahorses and nudibranchs hide between the coral bommies. Great for night dives too.
A relaxed shore dive off Amed’s salt-making beach: a sandy slope with coral patches full of reef fish and small critters. An easy choice for refresher dives and underwater photography.
An artificial reef of concrete pyramids built in the 1990s and now overgrown with coral. Turtles, blue-spotted stingrays and clouds of fusiliers are regulars; reef sharks and trevally often pass by in the late afternoon.
The shallow coral garden of Jemeluk Bay, a short swim from the beach. Calm, bright and colourful — perfect for first dives, Discover Scuba and snorkelling.
Where the Jemeluk coral garden ends, the reef turns into a wall covered in gorgonians and soft corals. With a mild current it becomes an easy drift — keep an eye on the blue for white-tip and black-tip reef sharks.
A dramatic slope that is usually dived as a drift. Bigger fish like it here: schooling trevally, barracuda and turtles, with purple soft corals along the way.
A reef slope facing the open blue, decorated with soft corals and sea fans. Watch the deep side: turtles and passing schools of fish are regular visitors.

Nadia
I became a dive instructor because diving is more than a passion to me — it is something I love sharing with others. Before this, I worked as a nurse, so caring for people has always been part of who I am. Today, I bring that same patience, trust, and heart underwater. Seeing someone overcome fear, grow in confidence, and fall in love with diving is what makes this job so special to me.
